How you set up the floorball tournament

Rinks and scoring

Three lines in the hall are three fields, or the plan stacks matches that should run together. In setup you use 3, 1, 0 or 2, 1, 0, depending on the entry rules. Tie-breakers: points, goal difference, goals. Set the duration to the small-rink length, often 1 × 12.

Categories and referees

Men, women, juniors, mixed or school years are divisions. Groups stay inside the division, and everyone shares the rinks. Add teams that are free as referees and assign them to the match in the break. One per match.

Typical tournaments

01

Social cup

Several small rinks, a short duration, and the team on a break as the referee.

02

Schools cup

One division per year. Everyone shares the rinks. The tables stay separate.

03

Full-size pre-season

One field, a longer duration, one group. The same scoring as on the small rink.

How to set it up

Four steps and the basics are in place.

  1. 1

Add each small rink on its own. Three lines in the hall are three fields.

  3. 3

Scoring 3, 1, 0 or 2, 1, 0, depending on the entry rules. Tie-breakers: points, goal difference, goals.

  4. 4

Assign the team on a break as referee of the next match.

Which points do I set?

In setup, 3, 1, 0 or 2, 1, 0, depending on the entry rules. Tie-breakers: points, goal difference, goals.

How many teams fit in a plan?

Eight on Starter, sixty on Standard, and no cap on Full. The categories count.
