This is how you set up the ice hockey tournament

Playing time and preparation

The game length in the planner is the third package. You schedule the ice preparation as a break, about 12 minutes, and then postpone the following games. It is not automatically inserted after every third game.

Crossfield and points

Each zone is a field, the plan places the games in parallel. In the setup there is a score for win, draw and loss. The IIHF rating with 3 and 2 points depending on overtime is not built in. You enter the score after extra time or penalties, the winner gets the normal victory points.

Typical tournaments

01

Youngsters on the cross-field

Each zone one field, short playing time. The preparation is a break; it applies to the entire area.

02

Hobby tournament

One field, one match day, final as the last phase. Results via the gang's helper link.

03

Four teams before the season

A group, everyone against everyone, then a final. Few games, preparation in between.

Here's how to set it up

Four simple steps and the basic structure is in place.

  1. 1

Enter the playing time as long as the third package including short changes lasts. The preparation is extra as a break, not included in the playing time.

  2. 2

Each cross field as a separate field. A full ice surface without division remains a field.

  3. 3

Set victory points. If every game has a winner, set defeat to 0 and not plan for a draw.

  4. 4

Have the timekeeper enter the results using the helper link, not just after the last ice age.

Questions about the ice hockey tournament

How do I plan ice processing?

As a break in the planner, with its own duration. It doesn't come on its own after every third game. You put them where the machine goes and push the games behind them.

How do I create cross fields?

Each zone is a field. The plan places games in parallel. Teams see the zone on the tournament page.

Can a win after penalties bring fewer points?

No. Win, draw and defeat each have one point. The IIHF relay with 3 and 2 is not installed. Enter the final score and count it as a normal victory.

What do I enter after a penalty shootout?

The final score was a winner, about 3:2. The individual penalties are not in the table.

Who enters the result?

The timekeeper via the helper link from the cell phone on the board. The table updates without a route to the cabin.
